We have one more sleeper column to go over for the 2020 fantasy football season. To cap things off, we have wide receiver sleepers to go over. It seems like over the years the talent at the wide receiver position continues to just get better. There’s just so many good receivers that naturally productive WR’s slide in drafts. Let’s go over which wide receivers you should target as sleepers.

Will Fuller – Brandin Cooks (Texans)

For some reason people are down on the Texans’ weapons. Remember, this is fantasy football. We’re talking about 150 vacated targets. Someone is going to get them. Will Fuller is the most talented guy but he’s never healthy. I guess you can say that about all the receivers on this roster. Does Brandin Cooks have anything left? I don’t know who it is but if Deshaun Watson is healthy someone is going to emerge into a fantasy stud.

Mike Williams (Chargers)

Tyrod Taylor won’t create a high powered passing offense but I’m not sure he needs to. Mike Williams is a big bodied guy who excels at reeling in deep 50/50 balls. Williams averaged 20.4 yards per catch last year. Why would that just magically go away? Williams also had bad touchdown luck last year only scoring 2 in 2019. Even in a down passing offense, that number should go up.

Diontae Johnson (Steelers)

The Steelers develop talent. Antonio Brown, Mike Wallace, Emmanuel Sanders, Santonio Holmes, JuJu Smith-Schuster. Why would Diontae Johnson be any different who put up a sneaky good rookie season despite terrible quarterback play. Johnson posted close to 700 yards and 5 touchdowns as a rookie with Mason Rudolph and Duck Hodges. What happens when Big Ben shows up?

Deebo Samuel (49ers)

Deebo Samuel broke his foot and now nobody wants him for some reason. That’s fine with me I’ll gladly take him as a discount. Samuel is a superstar in the making and was my number one rookie coming out last year. There’s too much talent here to pass. San Francisco gets him the ball whether it be in the run or pass game.

Mecole Hardman (Chiefs)

Getting your hands on someone in the Chiefs offense is a good thing. If Mecole Hardman develops into the number two WR, we could be looking at a gold mine. Volume is really the question. DeMarcus Robinson and Sammy Watkins still exist. Hardman basically needs to more than double his reception total (26) from a year ago. That’s a concern but potential here is through the roof for obvious reasons.

Preston Williams (Dolphins)

Preston Williams was a guy who I loved Tennessee. Then he got kicked out and put up numbers at Colorado State but didn’t get drafted. I was not surprised when Williams made an immediate impact as a rookie in Miami. 32 receptions for 428 yards and 3 touchdowns. That number also came in 8 total games after tearing his ACL midseason. Williams has established himself as the number two in Miami on an improving team.

Breshad Perriman (Jets)

Breshad Perriman was pretty much labeled a bust but that’s not really true anymore if you have been paying attention. Perriman went crazy during the last few weeks of the year when Chris Godwin and Mike Evans went down. From Week 13 on, Perriman reeled in 506 yards and 5 touchdowns. Now Perriman comes to the Jets with a chance to dominate. It’s worth the risk.

DeSean Jackson (Eagles)

Who is the best wide receiver on the Eagles? My pick is DeSean Jackson. He’s the one guy that changes the landscape. Jackson played in one real game last year. 9 receptions for 159 yards and 2 scores. This man is still fast and can absolutely play. The reward far outweighs the risk.
