Tom Telesco Has The Dumbest Possible Response When Asked About Davante Adams

All I hear from this new Raiders brass is about how they want to get back to the “Raider Way”. Yet, everything they do demonstrates that they have absolutely no idea what the Raider way is. I covered a lot of that the other day in a post about Antonio Pierce. It’s more and more obvious every day that Pierce won’t succeed as the head coach with the Silver and Black. It’s truly a dumb-and-dumber pairing in Las Vegas. Somehow, Tom Telesco might have one-upped his head coach in the brain-dead department.

There has been some chatter that Davante Adams could be traded this offseason. Something that makes all the sense in the world. This Raiders team is destined for last place. They currently have the worst quarterback and worst head coach in the division. Not to mention with a roster that’s putrid after several years of poor drafting.

Also, with Aaron Rodgers essentially in charge of the Jets, they could probably get a haul for Adams.

Except Telesco doesn’t see it that way. He shut down all trade rumors.

He’s a Raider,” Telesco told reporters Tuesday at the NFL combine in Indianapolis.

Can we get back to the Raider way? Look, I’m a big fan of Adams. He’s clearly one of the best wide receivers in the league. He also doesn’t fit the Raider Way. Like not even close to fitting the Raider Way.

The former Fresno State product ran a 4.56 at the Combine and is now 31 years old. Do you think Al Davis would have given up draft picks for this player? The answer is clearly no.

The Raider Way is about size and speed. Receivers who can tilt the field and stretch the field with verticality. Al Davis would have given up everything for Tyreek Hill, not Adams. Don’t sit here and tell me you want to bring back the Raider Way and refuse to move on from a receiver that doesn’t fit the timeline and isn’t fast.

It’s insane how big of a joke this duo is. I genuinely feel bad for this fan base because the dark days are only going to continue. Then again, why should we expect anything more from a general manager who hired Brandon Staley (and that’s the tip of the iceberg)?
