Tristan Thompson Suspended 25 games For Steroid Use
I think the casual NBA fan would be surprised to know that Tristan Thompson is still in the league. The news today probably indicates that Thompson had some help to remain in the league at the age of 32. Thompson got himself into trouble again and this time it has absolutely nothing to do with a Kardashian.
The NBA released a press release not too long about. The former University of Texas standout has been suspended 25 games without pay in response to a violation of the league’s anti-drug program. Long story short, Thompson got busted for steroid use.
“fully support the NBA/NBAPA Anti-Drug Program, and we are disappointed in the recent news surrounding Tristan Thompson.”
“His time away from game action will have an impact on our team. We stand behind Tristan and offer our support throughout this suspension period.”
Ibutamoren is a human growth hormone and is prohibited by the league. Who knows how long Thompson was hooked on this? Who knows what he would look like without it!
On the season, Thompson averaged 3.8 points and 3.9 rebounds in 36 games for Cleveland. Of course, that’s in sparing minutes. He’s shooting 65.6% from the field. That would be the highest mark of his career. Coincidence? He will lose $726,465 as part of this suspension.
Hey, the good news for Thompson is that Kris Jenner already got him a job at ESPN doing media work. Plus, he can always join the family Kardashian business!
