The Carolina Panthers suck (thanks Frank Reich), which means the Chicago Bears are somehow primed to have another top overall draft pick again. With Carolina in the gutter, the Bears are going to have their pick of the litter when it comes to selecting a top quarterback. If you ask DJ Moore about it, he will tell you that he’s only interested in playing with Justin Fields.
“Bruh, where are ya’ll seeing this?” Moore told reporters after Sunday’s game, when asked about Fields’ future in Chicago. “Like, what makes him not the quarterback for the Chicago Bears right now?”
“I get ya’ll got everybody coming out,” Moore added. “What, it’s like two of ’em? I don’t think they’re better than Justin.”
Before I close, I just want to remind people of this video.
Does anybody remember that? I’m sure you didn’t. Does DJ Moore run the show in Chicago? We’re about to find out. If Poles really values the opinion of the locker room and values what Moore says, it sure looks like Fields is going to be the quarterback next year. The Bears just traded for Moore and probably value what he has to say.
Of course, the Bears could get a haul for that number one or two overall pick. It would just be totally insane to pass on Caleb Williams, especially with Fields’ contract coming up on the expiration date. The Bears have their own first round pick as well, which is worth keeping in mind.
