Sean McVay Definitely Hates Cam Akers

Garrett did a post on whether you could trust Cam Akers for fantasy football leagues during the 2023-24 NFL Season. Well, we have our answer to that question and it’s a resounding no. However, once again it’s really not Akers’ fault. In case you missed it, Sean McVay and the Rams are back at it again with their old tricks. The Rams are making Akers inactive and will attempt to trade him again.

The Rams, of course, did this exact same thing last year. Only that Akers came back and finished the year really strong. Fantasy managers can thank Akers for those three straight 100 plus yard rushing performances to close the season out. Now we’re somehow back at square one with Akers in the dog house again.

McVay put out a statement but we all know the truth. He hates the guy. We don’t exactly know why as McVay put his own political answer in the ether. It’s just blatantly obvious he doesn’t like Akers.

VIA PFT:

McVay said “this is different” than last year’s situation and said the decision to sit Akers was “in the best interest of our football team.” Kyren Williams, Ronnie Rivers, and Royce Freeman handled the running back duties and McVay said that will remain the case “as we move forward.” He was asked if that means Akers has played his final snap with the team.

“I think there is going to be an opportunity to see what that looks like moving forward, but it’s not going to be a back-and-forth thing,” McVay said, via a transcript from the team. “He and I have had great dialogue and we’ll see what happens over the next couple days.”

McVay does know that nobody intelligent believes what he’s saying, right? There is just no way he actually believes that Rams are better with Ronnie Rivers instead of Akers. Not a chance. This isn’t what’s best for the Rams or Akers’ career. That’s a lie.

We know the truth and it’s so damn obvious what’s happening here.
