Keyshawn Johnson Joins FS1, Undisputed

Keyshawn Johnson was fired by ESPN in late June during the massive round of layoffs. We had an idea then that Fox Sports was the leading contender to land the former NFL wide receiver. Well, that’s exactly what has happened. Keyshawn Johnson will head to FS1 to be apart of the Undisputed team.

John Ourand of the Sports Business Journal was the first to report the news. Don’t bother clicking the link. It’s behind a paywall. No idea why Ourand thinks he’s important enough to have a paywall when he reports on sports media movements, but whatever.

Undisputed has rounded out its staff heading into football season. We have Richard Sherman as the primary debate partner during football season and Rachel Nichols taking the load for NBA topics. Keyshawn and Michael Irvin will now join that group.

This is the question I have. Is Keyshawn aware of the fact that Skip is basically refusing to debate anyone that he thinks he can’t beat. Skip obviously thinks Keyshawn is an easy target. Ditto for everyone that’s bee hired as a new part of the team. If that were me, I’d come out guns blazing and make Skip look like the pathetic fool he is over and over again. If Keyshawn doesn’t do that, what does that say about him as a talent? Just saying…

Feel free to comment below. Do you think Keyshawn Johnson was a good hire by Fox? Does he make it more likely that you will watch Undisputed? Does Fox or ESPN have the better debate team in tact?
