Is Harry Kane Heading To Bayern Munich?

Could Tottenham’s star striker Harry Kane be moving to Bayern Münich this summer? It is looking increasingly more likely as Bayern continues its pursuit of the Englishman.

The Bavarian giants have already submitted two bids for Kane this summer that have been rejected by Tottenham. The second of these bids was a sizable €94 million ($103.19 million) bid.

While Tottenham looks determined to keep its star man, they may have their hand forced by the England international.

According to ESPN, Kane wants to move to Bayern Münich. ESPN claims that his brother and his agent have maintained constant contact with the Bayern hierarchy about a potential move. Bayern’s manager, Thomas Tuchel, has also met with Kane this summer. Kane is enticed by the prospect of winning trophies with Bayern, who has dominated the Bundesliga as of late.

The 29-year-old striker has only one year remaining on his contract with Tottenham. Instead of extending his stay in North London, Kane apparently wants to move to the Bundesliga this year.

This has created a precarious situation for Tottenham’s president Daniel Levy. If he refuses to sell Kane this summer, Tottenham runs the risk of losing him on a free transfer next summer. If he sells him, Tottenham loses their goal-scoring talisman. Levy is going to have to decide whether he is willing to take that risk or if he just wants to cash out on his star man while he can.

Tottenham could be willing to let Kane move for a fee of around $130 million this summer, though this might be seen as too steep of a price by Bayern, who would reportedly reluctant to pay this much.

It is hard to blame Kane for wanting to move to Bayern. He has yet to win a major trophy with Tottenham, and at 29-years-old, is beginning to run out of time. Bayern has won the last 11 Bundesliga titles and can offer Kane a chance to add multiple trophies to his currently barren trophy cabinet.

It is going to be interesting to see how this situation pans out. Kane looks ready to move on, but Tottenham appears to be digging in its heels.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, because if he gets his way, Harry Kane could soon be a Bayern player.
