Adam Silver Deserves A Slap For The Ja Morant Suspension Ruling

Adam Silver isn’t the worst commissioner in sports. He’s not the dumbest either. However, at this point, there is no question that Silver is the biggest pussy out of any of them. This man has absolutely no respect for himself and I wouldn’t be surprised at this point if he got neutered. The Ja Morant suspension is a joke and it’s a complete indictment on the NBA commish.

Let’s just call it how it is. Ja Morant spun Adam Silver around and gave it to him in the back door and laughed.

I’m going to tell a little story here to provide better context. Once upon a time, Trey was suspended in college. I couldn’t wrestle for half the season. I can promise you that suspension was the greatest thing to ever happen to me. When I came back I never felt healthier during a season and beat the piss out of everyone for a three week stretch. You mean to tell me I don’t have to suffer the wear and tear of those early season wrestling tournaments? Where do I sign up for that?

The greatest thing to ever happen to Tom Brady was that deflategate suspension and I’m not sure they win the Super Bowl without it. The NBA did Ja Morant a favor today and the fact that they don’t understand that is insane.

25 games? WTF was that? The regular season means absolutely nothing and half the league complains that there are too many games, to begin with. 160 pound point guard that gets 25 fewer games of wear and tear? I’m not sure how anyone interprets this differently. Morant just got a reward for waving a gun around.

It’s not about the fact that he waved a gun around. It’s about the fact that it happened again and no lesson was learned. Morant was suspended in March the first go around. Morant then flashed the gun again in May. Literally within the same season, Morant made the same mistake and spit in the face of the league. If Morant didn’t learn his lesson the first time, what makes you think he will get it this time on another slap on the wrist punishment? As we’ve been over it, this was doing Morant a favor.

The whole way this was handled was gross. Silver dragged this out saying that announcement would come after the NBA Finals. Silver then went on 800 TV shows and started cracking jokes about it for another three weeks. Silver turned this into a media fiasco and then handed down a Charmin Ultra Soft penalty. Just gross.

Why are we such dumb organisms? Why must we wait for something bad to happen rather than trying to be proactive? Do we need to wait for Morant to kill someone next time? If he kills someone is he getting 30 games? What lesson is there to be learned here? Morant knew he was being recorded and did it a second time anyway. This won’t be the last time he gets in trouble because once again Silver did what he always does. Takes a pogo stick up the ass to the players while creating a worse tomorrow for the NBA.

It’s not just about the gun. Morant is not a good person or is trying not to be a good person. This is the same guy who had friends point lasers at the Pacers. This is the same guy that pointed a gun at a minor and beat him up. It’s not just about the gun on social media. This is now a pattern of bad behavior and has multiple things he’s being investigated for. 25 games is BS.

This whole thing is just so tone-deaf. Given the climate in America, this was an opportunity to draw a line in the sand. Someone just got arrested for threatening to mass shot the Stanley Cup Finals. Two people were just shot at the Nuggets parage. There is a school shooting what feels like every day. For young kids that are buying the Morant shoes, this was an opportunity to make an example that this is not okay. Silver did the opposite and it’s a microcosm of everything that’s wrong with this country.

Also, the toy gun excuse is pathetic and actually probably worse. Morant knew he was being recorded and knew he was doing something wrong. This was the ultimate “you won’t” in NBA history. The guy was trying to act like a thug after being told not to.

I have no respect for Adam Silver and neither should you. What a garbage human. Morant should have been suspended all 82 games including the postseason and I’m not sure how anyone feels differently. Anyone siding with Silver on this suspension is as pathetic as he is.
