One of my DEEP sleepers at the running back position for the 2020 NFL Draft is DeeJay Dallas. I’m not even positive that he gets drafted. What I do know is that Dallas is nasty and that MF’er runs HARD. Once we get into the later rounds of the draft, Dallas is a back that’s worth taking a flier on. Here is your DeeJay Dallas 2020 NFL Draft Profile.

Say whatever you want about DeeJay Dallas. He’s not the most physically gifted or twitched up player. What he does is punch you in the mouth. I’m not sure has the best instincts either but he runs hard. One speed freight train coming at you. Dallas keeps trucking and lowers the shoulder on every single run. Dallas sees contact and embraces it.

DeeJay Dallas led Miami in rushing in 2019. In 10 games, Dallas rushed for 693 yards and 8 touchdowns (6.0 YPC). 4.58 speed isn’t’ special at 5-foot-10, 217, but if you’re looking for a bruiser, Dallas could be your man in the later rounds. He also does have some sneaky athletic traits. Dallas played quarterback who came to Miami as a wide receiver and coverted to running back. He can be a threat in the passing game.

The good news is that Dallas cleaned up his biggest concern heading into the 2019 season. Fumbling was a big problem in 2018. He put the ball on the ground 6 times in 2018. Dallas didn’t fumble at all in 2019. It’s something he clearly worked on.

DeeJay Dallas isn’t high on many radars but don’t be surprised if he makes a roster and starts to make an impression as a scary downhill runner. Late round running backs make an impact in the league all the time. Keep an eye on Dallas moving forward.
