Derek Carr Is Sad Marshawn Lynch Didn’t Return To The Raiders

Marshawn Lynch, AKA Beast Mode, is back in the NFL. The league is better when he’s in it. Lynch will finish out the season with the Seahawks after they lost Chris Carson and CJ Prosise for the season. Robert Turbin was also re-signed too. While it’s great to have Lynch back in the league, not everybody is 100 percent happy with what transpired.

Raiders quarterback, Derek Carr is happy Marshawn Lynch is back in the league. He just wished it was with the Raiders:

“I wish it was with us,” Carr said this week, via East Bay Times. “I miss that guy, but it’s good to see him back. … I love Marshawn.”

“He’s been working really hard to get ready, just in case…” Carr said. “I didn’t know he was going to come back and play football, talking to him. But he’s back, and that’s a good thing for football.”

Derek Carr and Marshawn Lynch were teammates from the 2017 and 2018 season. Lynch was actually still fairly productive averaging over 4 yards per carry in both seasons. It’s hard not to love Lynch. He was actually a big leader for them. I remember when the Raiders played the Rams. Marcus Peters and Michael Crabtree kept getting in fights. Lynch was somehow the peacemaker. It will go down as the funniest moment in Beast Mode’s Raiders tenure.

Lynch was born in Oakland so that was the primary reason for suiting up for the Raiders when he did. He wanted to play for the team before they left for Vegas. This time, the Seattle return makes more sense. Lynch had his best years in Seattle and they actually need him. Given the injuries, Lynch will get his fair share of touches. The Raiders also most likely won’t see a trip to the postseason this year.
