The New York Yankees swept the Minnesota Twins in the first round of the ALDS. The Twins have been getting battered in the playoffs my entire life. They have now dropped 16 consecutive playoff games. Not great. However, that’s not what this article is about. The Yankees think they’re hot shit for knocking off a sorry franchise like the Twins. Smart people know the truth. They’re a scumbag franchise in every sense of the word.

Twins pitcher Tyler Duffey was asked about his experience at Yankee Stadium. This is what he had to say:

VIA The Athletic’s Marc Carig:

“Boston’s fun, they’re baseball fans,” Duffey said. “Yankee fans, they just hate people.”

Say less. Show me the lie? I’ve been to both stadiums. Fenway Park is the best baseball atmosphere I’ve ever been to. The seats feel like America’s past time at it’s core. There isn’t a better seat in the house than right on top of the Green Monster. It’s a real baseball town. You drink some Sam Adam’s, shuck some oysters, eat a lobster, have a cup of clam chowder, and watch the Sox. The whole town is just beautiful. Harvard is right around the corner. The water is beautiful.

Compare that to Yankee Stadium. The city smells like trash. Manhattan is an overcrowded mess. The new stadium feels like it was built for rich people. There’s no old timey baseball feel to it. The entire Yankees culture is built for yacht people. They don’t allow beards or long hair. If you’re not super rich, you’re supposed to feel bad about yourself. Rooting for the Mets is for the poor. The fan base is built on entitled past success rooted in nothing. The ownership doesn’t care about character. They welcome domestic violence abusers. Convicted DUI’s? Not a problem. Bring them on over.

The Yankees fan is an angry mob that trickles down from the top. It’s changed since Hal Steinbrenner took over the operations. The Twins may have lost the series. At least they are good human beings.

Tyler Duffey is right. Red Sox fans are better. Only a smart person would understand that.
