The 2024 NFL Scouting Combine is finally back! Unlike the uneducated dummies who decided to skip the event, Trey is on his couch for the next four days grinding. I’m here to tell you the truth. Not the nonsense you hear on TV. Hopefully, by now you know I only shoot you straight and my track record should speak for itself.
Let’s get right down to business. Here are your edge rusher notes for the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine.

Austin Booker (Kansas)
Terrible feet. Way too high. Didn’t like him at the Senior Bowl. Still don’t like him. Feet gave out and totally slid on accident. Terrible rhythm. Swim move was terrible. It was like he was trying to put it in his arm pit.
Solomon Byrd
Didn’t run a 40. Fell over in about a half-second getting on the field. Awful feet. Bad burst. His 10 yard time would have stunk.
Nelson Ceaser
Didn’t run a 40. Also fell over. I lose respect for the guys that don’t run and we quickly find out why. Especially guys that don’t have a profile.
Myles Cole (Texas Tech)
Weird body frame. Super long legs. Bit jumpy trying to guess the drill. Bit high but some of it isn’t even his fault. Trying to bend but not totally natural. Really explosive first step in the pass rushing drill and was zooming. Decent punch too. I’m actually kinda intrigued. Something about his body frame. Odd bender. I don’t know what to do with this guy. The way he can shift his feet is something.
Jaylen Harrell
Didn’t run a 40. Stiff. Stuck that half second trying to change direction. Can tell he wants to go but can’t quite get out. Not twitchy. Horrible hand usage in the drills. You can tell he’s going to be a third down guy only. But I wouldn’t totally bet against him. Good motor to him.
Jalyx Hunt (Houston Christian)
Former safety but doesn’t move well. Looks like a project. A project I probably don’t want. Slipped really bad. For a guy that used to be a DB, he’s terrible.
Adisa Isaac (Penn State)
No on-field workout
Brannan Jackson (Washington State)
No on-field workout.
Javontae Jean-Baptiste (Notre Dame)
Awful. Way too high. Slow in and out of breaks. Can’t change direction at all. I can’t imagine he can do anything other than a third down pass rusher. Zero bend. He absolutely sucks. Really long and it’s the only thing he has going for him. Hard pass. The more I watch him the more I want to puke.
Trajan Jeffcoat (Arkansas)
Bad play speed. Mediocre movement skills. He’s kinda just there but give him credit for punching through on the bag. Pretty decent going around the corner. Just not going to blow you away.
Cedric Johnson (Ole Miss)
Got caught a bit trying to guess but solid feet. Definitely can move and change direction. Plus athletically. Made him redo the towel drill. Got some speed but not always in control. Can chain his moves together.
Mohamed Kamara (Colorado State)
Sick 40 time (4.57). Was a big fan during the year during the game I watched when they played against Colorado. Very nice showing in the East-West Game too. Falling all over the place trying to react. Can’t keep his feet under him. Huge difference going east-west compared to north-south. Better the latter. Nice pop in his hands on the bags. Has a burst to him. Got caught a bit but overall really good.
Marshawn Kneeland (Western Michigan)
Not bad changing direction but not special either. Moving alright but some hesitation. Underrated bend. Grew on me a tad.
Laiatu Latu (UCLA)
Out of control. Speed is kinda there but odd movement. Inconsistent getting to where he wants to go. Medicals are a huge concern. Jaelen Phillips 2.0 and I want no part of it. Not convinced he’s powerful. Athletic but unorthodox.
By the way, this clip right here is significantly better than a lot of others that I blasted. Should give you an idea why.
Chop Robinson (Penn State)
Ridiculous 40 time (4.48). I thought he was athletic but this? Fantastic wave drill. In control and cruising. Nitpicking if I even complain about his performance. Damn good. The rip move he had in the pass rushing was really good. The hips are really good. Sinks and just knows exactly what to do. Something to be said for how easy everything looked. He’s fantastic, man.
Darius Robinson (Missouri)
Murdered the Senior Bowl. Couldn’t have been more impressed there. Super versatile. The 40 time is going to make you ponder about what he is (). Is he primarily an inside or outside player? You can see athletically he has some limitations. Never going to be grease lightning. Competes his tail off though. Cam Jordan was on the field during the workout and honestly, that’s a damn good goal for him. Solid hand usage. Don’t forget that he didn’t start playing football until his junior year of HS. There should be more in the tank but also is there since he’s not the freakiest guy either? Not exactly a clear picture here. I like that he can bend. No issues with the knees.
Javon Solomon (Troy)
Solid movement skills in the wave. Bent the knees okay. In terms of pure movement, he’s got it. Not a good bender.
Xavier Thomas (Clemson)
Monster recruit but now on the older side. Didn’t show nearly enough in college. Ran the 40 but no on-field, which sucks because he needed to.
Bralen Trice (Washington)
Not bad moving around. I mean that in terms of speed. Some stumbles but doesn’t look out of place. Then the bag drill was a total disaster. I mean as ugly as it gets. Had to do it like six times. He’s bombed at least 30 drills. It feels like that anyway. Some horrific balance.
This was his like 7th attempt. Guy blows. It says something that this was his best attempt.
Jared Verse (Florida State)
Disastrous wave drill. Can’t change direction at all. In the mud and made me want to vomit. It was like watching a car struggling to get started. I said it during the year and will say it again. If you think he’s a top 10 pick lay off the crack.
Significantly better in the bag drills. You can tell he’s way better when he can mix his hands in the equation. Gets the arms moving and looks way more natural. Not sure he’s as bendy as everyone wants to pretend.
On the towel drill, you saw the limitations again. Had to redo the drill. Really tight going around the corner. Almost like he crashed the car and got going again. Not a chain mover. Hand is literally in the ground helping him balance. Has real issues getting stuck in the mud.
This was his second attempt (they made him redo it cause the first was terrible). Notice the hand on the ground helping him balance. It’s sad that this was one of his better reps on the day.
Eric Watts (UConn)
Really high and the eye level stinks.
