One more hot takes post to go. Sorry I’m late with this but I’m only one man. I’m not even going to talk about Georgia because is there any hot take I can say about a team that’s won 40 straight regular season games? Here are your 2024 College Football Hot Takes for the SEC!

Billy Napier Loses His Job

Dude is a total clown. Their schedule is brutal. He’s been on the job since 2021 and this program still isn’t improving. In fact, they’re now a stepping stone team for other mediocre teams in the conference. Time to pull the plug and get a big boy in here. If Dan Mullen got fired for what he did, Napier is a dead man walking. I’m not sure this is a bold take so I want to make it clear this is for first coach fired.

Alabama Doesn’t Lose A Step Without Saban

That’s right I said it. Kalen DeBoer is the real deal. In fact, if Alabama won the title I wouldn’t be surprised. The roster is still largely intact and I’m a believer that DeBoer can keep things rolling while maybe even making them better offensively.

Jalen Milroe Gets Picked Inside The Top 15

This is going to happen. He’s too fast and too athletic. Still needs work in the intermediate passing game but he’s going to be viewed as too talented to pass on. Will rise the closer we get to draft day.

Missouri & Tennessee Should Be Playoff Teams

This will be a matter of how many teams are allowed in the playoff from this conference. Realistically, they should probably be given at least six teams. Missouri and Tennessee are both really good and won’t be talked about. When I say really good, I mean they could win the Big 12 no problem. Missouri’s schedule is really light all things considered and Nico Iamaleava will be considered a Heisman contender by the end of the season.
