It’s Week 10–we’ve had time to digest all the (game-clinching) chaos from this past week! Below, just like every week, our team overreacted to anything and everything from Week 10. Let’s dive into our Week 10 overreactions below!
C.J. Stroud will end up being the QB1 from the 2023 NFL Draft.
What a performance: 23-for-39 for 356 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He has thrown for 2,626 yards already this season with 15 touchdowns to just two interceptions. They’re not even really that good around him either yet. Fans in Houston should feel really hopeful.
Antonio Pierce and Bo Hardegree deserve the nod for head coach and offensive coordinator, respectively.
The Las Vegas Raiders are not a good team but they play hard under these guys. If they can get guys to play hard and get some more talent on both sides of the ball, the Raiders can finally be going in the right direction.
The Bills are in serious trouble and could end up missing the playoffs if something isn’t fixed very soon.
This defense looks lost with Tre’Davious White and Matt Milano out and Josh Allen continues to turn the ball over at an alarming rate. Firing Ken Dorsey also just seemed like a panic move, as I don’t think he was the main reason for the Bills’ recent slip and why Allen continues to turn the ball over. Figure it out, Buffalo, and fast.
The Houston Texans have a real chance to make the playoffs:
The most surprising team of the 2023 NFL Season is undoubtedly the Houston Texans. After nine games, the Texans are 5-4 and hold the final AFC Wild Card spot. That success can be largely attributed to the success of rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud and first-year head coach DeMeco Ryans.
In Week 10, the Texans earned a 30-27 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. That pushes them into the playoff hunt. The remainder of their schedule includes games against the Arizona Cardinals, Jacksonville Jaguares, Denver Broncos, New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans twice.
The game against Cleveland will be crucial as both teams compete for a Wild Card spot. If Stroud stays hot, it is not unreasonable to believe the Texans have a successful closing stretch and squeak into the playoffs. That would be quite the accomplishment in a stacked AFC.
The Minnesota Vikings should move on from Kirk Cousins after the play from Josh Dobbs.
Dobbs has proven he can be the leader for Minnesota while only playing for them for two games.
