The War Room series has returned. Each day leading up to the 2021 NFL Draft, we will cover what each team might be thinking about when they are on the clock. Starting with the Super Bowl champs, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers should be celebrated for building a terrific roster through the draft.
Nailing the 2021 NFL Draft from the back is never easy. It’s uber important for the Bucs to continue to plug this roster. Tampa essentially brought their roster back. The draft is the only reinforcements on the way. Who will the Bucs target on draft day?
- Round 1: 32nd
- Round 2: 64th
- Round 3: 95th
- Round 4: 137th
- Round 5: 176th
- Round 6: 217th
- Round 7: 251st
- Round 7: 259th
Would the Bucs want a long-term replacement for Ndamukong Suh? As of right now, Suh hasn’t been re-signed. If Christian Barmore is on the board, that could be the pick. The Bucs are one of the best teams in the league at stopping the run. If Suh isn’t back, now is the time to pounce on one. Daviyon Dixon and Jay Tufele could be other names they consider.
This team just doesn’t have any holes. Seriously, does their second round pick even start? Could Tampa use another corner? Probably. More depth offensive line help? Throw it on down. A 4th string running back? SURE.
This might be anticlimactic but Tampa is loaded. The world is their oyster. The Bucs really don’t have any holes. Tampa can go into the draft and take the best player on the board every time. There is no better feeling than that.
