Xavier Worthy: The Next Jordan Addison?

Do you hear that? I sure as hell don’t. Do you hear any proud supporters of the Pittsburgh Panthers right now complaining about Jordan Addison? The truth of the matter is, Addison made the right call when he left Pitt. He’s a richer man now and in the future because of it. I’m just going to warn everyone now because it’s going to happen to Xavier Worthy too and I hope you keep this in mind when he does.

It’s not a done deal that Worthy leaves. However, he’s certainly leaving us bread crumbs to let us know it’s coming. Texas is moving in the right direction under Steve Sarkisian but they’re still probably two-three years away from really competing even if Sark continues to garner momentum. Given the inconsistencies of Quinn Ewers, the argument for finding greener pastures should be on the table.

Given what’s happened with Jordan Addison, there should be a never ending list of guys lining up to play for Lincoln Riley. More so to get the chance to reel in passes from 2024 number one overall pick Caleb Williams. It’s done wonders for Addison’s stock. It could do wonders for Worthy’s stock too.

Worthy, 19, will be a true junior next year. When the time comes, I’m most likely going to have a Marquise Brown comp for Worthy with the chance to be even better. He weighs next to nothing (6-foot-1, 163 pounds) which is really his biggest red flag. With that in mind, I’m just telling you there are going to be programs lining up to try to reel Worthy to their University.

The skillset reminds me a lot of Brown. Frail but grease lightning speed and has that burst. You know, the one where real explosion happens and he creates real separation. He’s got some it factor to him.

My prediction is USC announces Worthy sooner rather than later. Just remember this post. He’s an important piece to the transfer portal and I would be shocked if Worthy isn’t at least on the move somewhere.
