Wrestling Inc. Founder, Raj Giri, Renounces Site’s Allegations Against Dave Meltzer

Dave Meltzer is currently the talk of professional wrestling journalism. Meltzer is a veteran of professional wrestling journalism. You likely know him from his company, Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Meltzer has been covering professional wrestling since the 1980’s. But recently, he’s in hot water as there are reports that Meltzer published a false story. The story is being reported by Wrestling Inc., a popular wrestling journalist website. But the founder of Wrestling Inc., Raj Giri, seemingly renounces the allegations made towards Dave Meltzer.

Raj Giri Renounces Wrestling Inc. Allegations

Raj Giri started professional wrestling Geocities in 1996. A year later that site turned into Wrestling Inc. Wrestling Inc. recently published a story that accuses Dave Meltzer of allegedly publishing false stories. After the story was published, Giri went on Twitter to renounce the site’s allegations towards Meltzer. Giri said “I have NOTHING to do with that article. I never allowed articles on other reporters.” Giri also went on to say that “I have the utmost respect for Dave, I first subscribed to the Observer decades ago and am still a subscriber today.”

Raj Giri responded to another tweet saying “I’ve gotten a couple of messages about it. I want to be clear that I’m not part of the editorial side of the side now, I deal with behind-the-scenes stuff.” Giri sold Wrestling Inc. last year, but is still part of the company. Meltzer has yet to comment on the allegations, but wrestling legend Eric Bischoff had some interesting words for Meltzer. Bischoff wrote in a tweet “Dave is the definition of a useful idiot. Sloppy lazy, and zero integrity. Surprised it’s taken this long to expose him for what he is.” It is going to be interesting to see how Dave Meltzer responds to these allegations against him.
