Will Chad Gable renew his contract with WWE?

Chad Gable is getting ready for one of, if not the biggest match of his career; however, his future with the company remains uncertain. Gable’s WWE contract is set to expire before the event, yet there is no definitive answer on his future status with the company. Will he renew his contract or take off for another promotion?

The news about Chad Gable’s contract expiring has made headlines in recent weeks, and with no updates on his status, people are speculating about his next move. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE extended a new offer to Gable, but an agreement has yet to be reached. This leaves the door open for new possibilities regarding employment for the former tag-team champion. It is speculated that “key people” within AEW are pushing for him to form a deal with AEW President Tony Khan if an arrangement can not be settled, as the company is known for drafting former WWE superstars.

Feud for Intercontinental Championship

Chad Gable has a match against current Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn for the championship at the upcoming PLE event Clash at the Castle. There is still potential for this feud to be extended, especially with the inevitable implosion of Alpha Academy. For weeks, WWE has built towards a feud between Gable and Alpha Academy member and former partner Otis. If Gable does not renew his contract, it could mean an abrupt end to the feud and ultimately the Alpha Academy.

The decision regarding Gable’s contract renewal remains a topic of interest as it inches closer to the event. The storyline surrounding the Intercontinental Championship attracts significant attention, and with one of the biggest mid-card wrestlers potentially removing himself from the equation, it leaves many unanswered questions while also generating a new set of them.

Chad Gable signed with the WWE back in November 2013. Gable is also part of a handful of other superstars, and contracts expire this summer. Among the names include Natalya, Angel and Berto of Legado Del Fantasma, and former WWE Speed Champion Ricochet.

Clash at the Castle will take place in Glasgow, Scotland on June 15th. Until then, the future of the former Olympian remains uncertain in the WWE.
