Will Anderson Has High Hopes For Kamari Lassiter

The Houston Texans selected Kamari Lassiter in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The early returns on the former Georgia product have been super positive. Will Anderson Jr. is quickly blossoming into a star and he has super high praise for his new teammate.

“I’ve been so amazed by him, man,” Anderson said, via Aaron Wilson of KPRC. “He’s been making plays left and right all over the field. He’s electric, man. Another young guy that we can’t wait to keep seeing grow and stuff like that. And I think he can do great things for this defense and be a part of something special that we have going on here.”

The Texans hit the jackpot in the draft last year scoring CJ Stroud and Anderson in the first round. Because of the move up for Anderson (which they totally got the winning end of that deal) Houston didn’t have their own first round pick this year. Hitting on Lassiter will go a long way towards putting this Houston team in a real Super Bowl mix.

Kamari Lassiter 2024 NFL Draft Profile

Anderson shouldn’t be the only believer in Lassiter. He’s a damn good player and should be really productive with Derek Stingley Jr. manning one side of the field. Lassiter was ranked very high in the cornerback rankings for the 2024 NFL Draft. He should be a contributor right away as a rookie. He’s also someone who can play as a big slot as a matchup weapon in the secondary too. He’s going to make a difference. It’s a matter of how soon.
