Why I Won’t Be Buying EA Sports FC 24

I love FIFA. Sorry, I mean EA FC 24 I guess now…

The name change isn’t the problem. I really don’t care what they call the game despite the fact that it’s kind of annoying that I’ll probably end up calling this new game FIFA for another five years. It looks like a lot of people are buying the new iteration of the game. I won’t be one of those people. I am not buying EA FC 24 for a bunch of key reasons.

For starters, I have some FIFA fatigue. I did the Ted Lasso series and the Arsenal series. You can find both of those on the YouTube Channel. I made it through two career modes this year. I could use the break.

They also took Ted Lasso out of the game. That series was so much fun. It’s criminal that they took that feature out of the game. It’s one thing that the show is canceled. Now I can’t even play with Jamie Tartt in FIFA anymore. That series was so fun to start up in career mode and was the perfect team to start from scratch. Unforgivable that they totally got rid of that team.

Also, the career mode features they added in the game suck. They’re based on all coaching and strategy. Dude… I don’t give a single flying you know what about doing the training. I just want to make my roster moves and play the games. The idea that all you’re going to do to upgrade career mode is by adding coaching tactics is lame AF.

I’ve decided that I’m going to give EA Sports a year to figure their game out. Get the patches in order. Get the kinks knocked out. I may be back for FC 25 but not if they pull this nonsense again about not adding anything to the game. If I’m going to drop $70 on a game, you gotta give me more than this. It is what it is.
