Who Were The 49ers Bidding Against For Bryce Huff?

I have no idea who the 49ers were bidding against for Bryce Huff in their trade with the Eagles. This whole thing stinks to high heaven. (Eric Hartline-Imagn Images)

Who Were The 49ers Bidding Against For Bryce Huff?

I still can’t believe the Eagles got something back for Bryce Huff. It truly blows my mind. Howie Roseman is just so much better than the rest of the league, it’s borderline laughable. I just have one follow-up question now that the dust has settled on the Bryce Huff trade.

Who the hell were the 49ers bidding against, and how the hell did Roseman snake anything in return for Huff?

Kyle Shanahan is a brilliant coach, but the guy has no clue what he’s doing in terms of personnel. When you’re on record for saying you would rather have Kirk Cousins over Patrick Mahomes, let’s maybe tell him to kick rocks when it comes to making roster decisions. That’s not even mentioning how many idiotic mistakes he’s made pulling the trigger on third round running backs who never stick on the roster.

Let’s be real about it. This trade reeks of someone who doesn’t understand team building and lets his new/old DC, Robert Saleh, get a new toy for Christmas.

Explain it to me. Who were the 49ers bidding against here? Because it sure seems like the only person willing to bid was the person who coached Huff with the Jets.

Here’s what I really want to know. So you had no interest in re-signing guys like Talanoa Hufanga or Dre Greenlaw, but you do have interest in paying Huff $8 million while he’s coming off a 2.5 season and not having the ability to really crack the Eagles rotation, and also gave up a draft pick to do it. By the way, if the 49ers are right, it turns into a 4th round pick. Not exactly a cheap trade chip for a guy Philadelphia was begging to get rid of.

It’s another example of how Howie Roseman is running circles around the rest of the league. Look at this cheese. There’s a clear winner in this trade, and if you have a brain, you already know the answer.
