Who made the 2025 NBA All-Star Team?

One week after the starters were announced, the 2025 NBA All-Star teams were officially filled out Thursday with 14 reserves–seven from each conference–joining the 10 starters.

The starters were voted on by a combination of fans (50 percent), players and media, while the All-Star reserves were selected by only the head coaches. The All-Star game will be played on Feb. 16 in San Francisco, Calif.

How will the 2025 All-Star Game work?

The All-Star game will feature a tourney-style format with three teams of eight players drafted by Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley on Feb. 6. There will be a fourth team–the winner of the Rising Stars Game, which features rookies, second-year and G-League players that will be played on Feb. 14.

Were there any notable snubs?

A snub would indicate that at least one individual who made wasn’t deserving over someone who was. I don’t think that was the case in the East, even though it was difficult to pinpoint the backcourt with Garland, Herro, Lillard, Zach LaVine, Trae Young and LaMelo Ball all deserving to some extent. If I were maybe say one, I’d have Young over Herro.

The “snub” I point to in the West is Domantas Sabonis, who I would put in over Sengun. There are only so many spots for all these players, but Sabonis is having a career year and a better statistical season than Sengun. I don’t think the latter’s defensive gap is significant enough to give him the nod, even though it is existent. Sabonis’ offensive gap should supersede that in my view, even though I am a big fan of Sengun’s game.
