What’s Coming in Stellaris: Galactic Paragons?

Another Stellaris DLC is set to release in just a few days, May 9 to be exact. This comes after the closing of some studios last month that primarily worked on the space-themed grand strategy game, which stoked fears about the future of Stellaris. However, it seems those fears are unfounded as Paradox has put production of the latest Galactic Paragons DLC into overdrive.

So What’s Coming With the DLC?

The upcoming expansion is taking a page out of the Crusader Kings handbook, with the primary focus being on the leaders and leadership of your respected galactic empires. Allowing players to take an in-depth look at their leaders, not only to upgrade and improve them, but also to tell stories and interact with other characters through them.

Stellaris: Galactic Paragons also takes another step along the Crusader Kings path though the implementation of a new counsel system. With all sorts of customization options for players to choose from, players will also be able to direct their councils down certain agendas for their empires to pursue to unlock benefits and more.

Other bits of content are still to be revealed by the company, but with Galactic Paragons set to release in just a few days, it will be revealed sooner rather than later.

The Future of Stellaris

The announcement and eventual release of this DLC helped mostly put an end to the rumors that continued support for the game would be ending. Still, the closing of the two studios still brings a lot of uncertainty — not just for Stellaris, but other Paradox titles either under development or receiving continued support. While the company has made no announcement of such changes, it may be a while before these fears are put to rest, despite the new content coming out.
