Dennis Allen has a 34.3% win percentage as a head coach (24-46). Decent defensive coordinator but totally lost as a head coach. The record speaks for itself here. What have the Saints accomplished since he took over for Sean Payton?
Anyway… Allen made an absolute fool out of himself in a recent press conference and his record makes a hell of a lot more sense now.
This is not a joke. Allen does not know what a metaphor is.
“I’m gonna leave the metaphors to you guys,” said Allen, who then had a realization. “What is a metaphor? What is the definition of a metaphor?”
Am I the only person that thinks this is insane? The craziest part is Allen needed a sports beat writer to tell him what a metaphor is and when it was explained to him you could tell he didn’t retain any of the information.
Can anyone explain what Allen brings to the table? How the hell did this guy get a second head coaching job? I guess he got the job by default after Sean Payton quit but still. Please comment your thoughts because this entire clip might be the craziest thing I’ve ever seen from a head coach in a press conference.
The Saints might have a chance this season for the sole fact that they play in the worst division in football (the NFC South). Putting that aside, New Orleans isn’t going anywhere until they get rid of this idiot.
