Virginia Tech Basketball enters the 2024-25 season after missing the 2024 NCAA Tournament. Essentially the entire core from the recent iterations of Virginia Tech is gone. Several transferred and others are out of eligibility. There’s a host of young pieces in Blacksburg this season as Mike Young looks to build a new core. Experienced frontcourt pieces Tobi Lawal and Ben Burnham transferred in this offseason. Duke transfer Jaden Schutt offers shooting that fits what VT wants to do. On paper, the Hokies seem destined for the bottom of the ACC. Could they play spoiler behind Mike Young’s offensive system?
