AEW: Fight Forever is the first video game being made for AEW. There has been a lot of anticipation and speculation surrounding the game. With a lot of video games, information often gets leaked before being announced. AEW: Fight Forever recently had images and information leaked about the game. AEW took to their AEW Games YouTube channel to release an announcement teaser.
Some information regarding the game that had already been leaked was just confirmed by AEW. The company officially announced that the game is going to be published by THQ Nordic. AEW also announced what gaming systems AEW: Fight Forever is going to hit, notably PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S|X, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It also seems as if they confirmed the cover of the game as well, which includes Britt Baker, Jade Cargill, Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho, and CM Punk.
The leaked match types have been confirmed. So, the matches include Single, Tag-Team, 3-Way, 4-Way, Ladder, Casino Battle Royale, Falls Count Anywhere, Unsanctioned Lights-Out, and Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match. Furthermore, AEW has also confirmed there will be an online co-op mode and career mode. They confirmed the co-op mode will feature “sequences of team maneuvers performed with simple commands.”
We also received more information about the career mode for AEW: Fight Forever. AEW said it is going to highlight the life of their professional wrestlers on the road. Players will be able to create and develop their own wrestlers and place them on the AEW roster. The player’s wrestler will be featured in matches and stories over an event schedule. The players will earn points by picking up victories and fulfilling objectives during the match. They can then put those points toward their wrestler’s statistics. The game will also feature some customization options, including attire, appearance, move-set, entrances, teams, and arenas.
AEW has an official release date of Dec. 31, 2022, but you can preorder the game now. AEW announced there will be a digital showcase on Aug. 12 with THQ Nordic. With so much new information confirmed and the digital showcase being announced, fans of the game are more excited now than ever before.
