So last week we had Uncle Trey (Nicknamed “BIG UNC”) provide us some of the music he listens to while working out. I basically let him hijack the Vendetta Vibe Playlist. My college gym opened up late last week, and I had to throw on Big Unc’s tunes while lifting for the first time in a few days. It was absolutely amazing. So for this week, I’m adding some of my music, some more of Big Unc’s, and some from Garrett to give you the first version of Vendetta’s Gym Playlist. You can also buy some Big Unc merch!
The beat of this song just gets me going. The lyrics get me pumped up, especially the part that goes “If you want a taste b**** you can f***ing try me, if you want to hate b**** you know where to find me. And if you go and fucking hate this you can f***ing bite me.” If you don’t like what I do or who I am, I don’t care. Also “If you think you’ll win, ha, not f***ing likely,” is just how my confidence flows when working out.
Whenever I hear the opening guitar to this song, I instantly recognize it and know it’s going to get me hype.
This song is a rallying cry to me to get up and do something. You hold the power as long as you’re driven. Are you just going to take whatever happens to you, or will you fight back for what you want? This song never fails to get me going.
The chorus to this song hits so damn hard that you can’t help but wanting to get your blood pumping.
The guitar followed by the drums at the beginning set the tone. This song gets me ready to get to work.
This song is off the Doom:Eternal soundtrack and it’s almost 8 minutes of excellence. Heavy guitar throughout.
The explanation for this one is pretty simple. It plays on the vibe of the world being against you, and you having to fight against it and refusing to be like everyone else. Plus who doesn’t love psycho screaming during a workout? How does that not get you fired up?
I put this song on here mostly for Cole’s verse. Every bar hits so hard along with the beat. Chefs kiss
The music gets me going, and the lyrics (more screaming) just get me fired up. The tempo changes also keep me on my toes and ready.
I’m gonna be honest, after I listened to Hungry again I fell down the rabbit hole of songs by Rob Bailey & The Hustle Standard and found this one. This song was the first song of theirs that I listened to. This song is one of the ultimate confidence boosters. “I’m fucking made for this.”
These gym playlist posts are fun to do, more will definitely be on the way in the future.
