USC QB Miller Moss Transfers To Louisville

Former USC quarterback Miller Moss has transferred to Louisville, per On3.com. Moss had spent roughly two weeks in the transfer portal, after announcing his decision to enter at the beginning of December. Moss had spent four seasons for the Trojans, playing sparingly before this season where he took over the starting job as Caleb Williams declared for the 2024 NFL Draft.

Miller Moss looked great in USC’s bowl game last season, speaking a ton of hype surrounding him as the heir to the throne to Williams. However, Moss would struggle during the 2024 campaign before ultimately being benched after just nine games in favor of Jayden Maiava. In his starts this season, Moss threw for 2,555 yards, 18/9 TD/INT ratio on 64.4% completion percentage. Moss was a four-star recruit coming out of high school and the No. 22 quarterback in the 2021 class.

Miller Moss steps into an offense that looked sharp last season and boasts playmakers in the backfield and solid weapons outside. The Cardinals went 8-4 last season, exceeding some expectations. Moss had this to say about the move to Louisville, per On3.com:

“Looking towards the future, I’m unwaveringly committed to becoming an even better quarterback and leader, and to achieving this at the next level,” Moss wrote in his statement declaring his decision to transfer.

The Louisville pro-style offense should translate well to Moss’s skill set. Isaac Brown looks like the real deal and should see even more touches in 2205, which should take a ton of pressure off of Moss to be a gunslinger in his new offense. I believe Louisville could make a move for more talented depth at the wide receiver position, but this offense is poised to look sharp again next season.
