USC QB Miller Moss To Enter Transfer Portal

USC QB Miller Moss announced this week he will be entering the transfer portal this off-season, and I can’t say I totally blame him. I don’t 100% believe the reason USC has struggled this season has been Moss. Moss threw for 2,555 yards on 64.4% completion percentage, with 18 TDs and nine INTs with a QBR of 73.6, which is 27th in the country. What did Lincoln Riley do halfway through the season? Bench Moss for UNLV transfer Jayden Maiava.

Miller Moss spoke with ESPN’s Pete Thamel this week about his career at USC and his future. Full quote via BleacherReport.com:

“I really enjoyed my time at USC,” Moss told Thamel. “It was transformative for my life as a whole and for me growing up for the last few years. I’m thankful. I gave that program everything I had. There comes a point where there’s a time to move on to new opportunities, and I’m hoping to better myself as a person and a player.”

According to Pete Nakos of On3.com, Miller Moss will be considering Michigan, Auburn, Iowa and Louisville as potential programs to transfer to once the portal officially opens.

Out of those four programs, the system that makes the most sense to me is Louisville. That program has a number of high-potential prospects on both sides of the ball, they play in a conference that should be up for grabs next year, and is a great mid-level program to transfer in to to hone in his skills without forcing himself to be in the spotlight more. We have seen crazier things happen, so where Moss ends up might not be listed, but as it stands those are the four to keep an eye on.
