Update on status of CM Punk and The Elite’s relationship — Reports
CM Punk set the wrestling world ablaze at the All Out press conference last year, calling out top names in AEW, including Hangman Page, Colt Cabana and The Elite. During his absence due to an injury, he had his occasional moments on social media calling out another AEW star, Chris Jericho.
There have been a lot of questions surrounding Punk and AEW about the situation. AEW is looking like they are trying to mend the broken relationship with CM Punk and many AEW stars. Punk and Chris Jericho reportedly had a sit-down meeting which went well.
Still, what’s the status of the relationship between The Elite and CM Punk?
AEW’s Third Weekly Show
AEW is reportedly going to start to air a third weekly show, Collision. CM Punk is said to be the face of that show to still keep him involved in the company, while also keeping him separate from the stars who don’t want to work with him.
Willing To Apologize
A higher-up from AEW reportedly told Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the relationship between CM Punk and The Elite is not closer to making amends, but things are more reasonable.
Furthermore, one of the people involved who isn’t Punk, is reportedly willing to apologize. However, the two sides cannot speak to one another legally. There are no reports on if CM Punk is willing to apologize, but other reports suggest he may be willing to do so. An individual on Punk’s side of things reportedly told Meltzer they believe apologies are required from everyone involved in the situation.
AEW President, Tony Khan, is set to make a big announcement on Dynamite next week. The belief is that he will announce the third show, Collision.
