UFC Vegas 65 Best Bets
UFC Vegas 65 is not a terrible fight card. It is a little bit of a letdown after UFC 281, but I have seen much worse cards. With that being said, this is a terrible card for placing bets. There are no attractive underdogs and not many other lines that stick out. I am still here hunting winners though. Here is what I’ve found.

Andre Fialho -115
The main card of UFC Vegas 65 will feature a closely lined bout between Andre Fialho and Muslim Salikhov. Naturally, I picked a side and I like Andre Fialho.
Each of these fighters is trying to get back on track. Fialho dropped his last fight to Jake Matthews while Salikhov lost to Li Jingliang.
In this fight, these two will likely stand and trade. In that type of fight, Fialho should be able to get on the inside with forward pressure and land his powerful combinations. If he can do that, he should land a knockout. Even if it is a close fight, Fialho fights with a higher output which will help him get the nod from the judges.
Lastly, Fialho is 28 and Salikhov is 38. It seems more realistic that the younger fighter will be the one that recovers and makes improvements after a loss. I will take Fialho at -115.
Jack Della Maddalena vs Danny Roberts Under 1.5 Rounds -135
Jack Della Maddalena is a tremendous fighter. At the moment, he is one of the best prospects in the welterweight division. In this bout against Danny Roberts, Maddalena is a massive favorite on the money line.
Nevertheless, I do not plan on putting money on a -550 favorite. Instead, I like the under one-and-a-half rounds. It is a small sample size, but Maddalena has won both of his UFC fights by first-round knockout. In this fight, he should be able to land powerful shots and finish Roberts early.
I will take the under at -135. In my opinion, it is the best mix of risk and value. For example, Maddalena by knockout is -175. I think he cuts it done early so the under makes more sense.
Vanessa Demopoulos -105
Vanessa Demopoulos is a slight underdog at UFC Vegas 65 against Maria Oliveira. Typically, I shy away from fights like this, but we are looking at limited options.
Still, we have a play here. Neither of these fighters is someone to write home about, but I think Demopoulos is slightly better. Most importantly, Demopoulos will be the better wrestler in this bout. If she can get it to the ground, she can control the fight and win a decision.
The issue for Demopoulos will be Oliveira’s reach. Oliveira’s game plan will be to stay on the outside and poke at Demopoulos. Now, if Oliveira throws kicks, that will allow Demopoulos to catch kicks and help her land a takedown.
I think Demopoulos will be able to get a takedown, one way or another, and get enough control time to win a decision. I will take Demopoulos at -105.
