It is time to place some bets for UFC Macau. Unfortunately, it is a difficult card to find solid bets on. The event features several Road To The UFC finales. Those bouts are difficult to bet on which greatly lessens the slate available for betting purposes. Still, there are a few bets that can be made. Here are three of the best bets available for UFC Macau.
The UFC Macau main event between Petr Yan and Deiveson Figueiredo has some appealing potential bets. The fight is currently lined with Yan as a -340 favorite while Figueiredo is a +270 underdog. I am not interested in the moneyline; however, I’ll take a pair of prop bets instead. The best bets for the UFC Macau main event are Yan to win by KO at +210 and fight does not go the distance at +120.
I think Yan is going to have a ton of success in this fight. I trust his defensive grappling to keep this fight standing. Plus, his striking defense should help him avoid Figueiredo’s aggressive striking. If that holds true, this fight should get to the later rounds. In those moments, Yan has historically pushed the pace. That will present Figueiredo with serious issues. In the past, he has shown that he will slow as the fight gets deeper.
Yan is an unreal striker who makes reads and aggressively hunts the finish. In a 25-minute fight, I’ll gladly bet him to finish the fight. At +210, it is the best bet available for UFC Macau.
I also see value in the fight not to go the distance at +120. The aforementioned path to a Yan knockout is present. At the same time, Figueiredo has power and slick submissions. He can find a finish. I do not think it is the most likely outcome. Regardless, it is a solid hedge that covers a Figueiredo finish while adding more value to a Yan knockout.
Ultimately, Yan to win by knockout and the fight not to go the distance are two of the best bets available for UFC Macau. The pair can be bet independently or together. The bets are valuable in either scenario.
The final best bet for UFC Macau is for Tabatha Ricci to beat Yan Xiaonan. The books have Ricci lined as a +145 underdog while Xiaonan is a -175. I think there is value in the underdog.
Let’s get the issue with this bet on the record immediately. Xiaonan is going to have a significant striking advantage in this bout. In striking exchanges, she will look like a massive favorite. I will not argue that.
The positive for Ricci is that she has a good amount of grappling upside. Xiaonan is not a great defensive grappler and Ricci will consistently attempt takedowns. I expect Ricci to use her wrestling to win two rounds. I would not be shocked to see her land a submission, but that is less likely.
It is also worth noting that Xiaonan is coming off a loss in a title fight. That has historically been a tough bout. A lot of fighters tend to roll a title loss into another loss. In recent memory, Steve Erceg and Marlon Vera are examples. That in itself is not enough to fade Xiaonan, but it is a positive to have on your side of the bet.
At +145, I’ll bet Ricci as a +145 underdog. The grappling upside makes her one of my favorite bets for UFC Macau.
