UFC Atlanta Best Bets

It is time to make some bets for UFC Atlanta. The event features a strong card for a fight night event. Thankfully, that means there are several opportunities to make bets on the fights. Here are three of the best bets you can make for UFC Atlanta.

*All odds are taken from DraftKings and are accurate as of 4:00 pm EST on Friday, June 13, 2025. *

Joaquin Buckley via KO +140

The UFC Atlanta main event features a welterweight matchup between Joaquin Buckley and Kamaru Usman. Buckley is lined as a -278 favorite while Usman is a +225 underdog. The betting angle for the fight is Buckley to win by knockout at +140.

This matchup pits a red-hot prospect who is rising the ranks against an aging legend of the sport. That dynamic usually favors the younger fighter. That is Buckley in this case.

In the specific style matchup, Buckley is a hard hitter who specializes in landing massive hooks. Meanwhile, Usman’s agility and lateral movement are on a sharp decline. That will help Buckley land his big shots.

In the grappling realm, Buckley is a difficult fighter to wrestle offensively. He is not bad from a technical aspect, but his size and strength make it difficult for opponents to land takedowns. In this fight, that will help Buckley keep it standing where he can chip away at Usman with hooks. If he can do that, he can finish the fight.

At +150, I’ll bet on Buckley to get the knockout in the UFC Atlanta main event. That is a solid number considering the dynamics of the fight.

Miranda Maverick +190

The bet for the UFC Atlanta co-main event is for Miranda Maverick to defeat Rose Namajunas. Maverick is a sizeable +190 underdog while Namajunas is a -230 favorite.

The upside in betting on Maverick lies in her wrestling and physicality. In the grappling realm, she does not have sensational takedowns. That is why she is the underdog in this matchup. Although, she can control the fight from the top position and win rounds. Plus, in this specific matchup, she is way bigger than Rose. If she lands a takedown, she should be able to spend a lot of time in the top position.

I do not think Maverick is the more skilled fighter in this matchup; however, she is a +190 underdog who has a massive edge in physicality. That is an opportunity that is hard to come by in women’s MMA. As a result, it is a solid underdog bet for UFC Atlanta.

Andre Petroski +124

The final bet for UFC Atlanta is for Andre Petroski to beat Edmen Shahbazyan. The bout is lined with Petroski as a +124 underdog while Shahbazyan is a -148 favorite.

This is a matchup that has two clear potential outcomes. The first is that Shahbazyan hits Petroski with a big shot in the early stages of the fight and gets the knockout. The second is that Petroski uses his grappling to take over in the second and third rounds.

I’d much rather side with Petroski’s method of victory. Shahbazyan has consistently struggled with competent grapplers. I expect Petroski to shoot takedowns early and often. Plus, his wrestling is good enough to land those takedowns. If he can force Shahbazyan to grapple early, he will be at a massive advantage.

At +124, this is a solid bet for UFC Atlanta. It is easy to craft a path of victory for Petroski, and it involves a game plan he can accomplish.
