Tua Tagovailoa Lives Rent Free In The Head Of Chris Simms

Tua Is About Phinished With The Haters

The haters of Tua Tagovailoa have been scrambling the past seven weeks. Why? Because Tua has been playing good football and the Miami Dolphins have won seven games in a row after starting the season 1-7. But of all the Tua haters out there, not one is bigger than Chris Simms. Simms wastes no time in any segment to drag Tua in the mud.

What is Simms big deal with Miami? I know Miami fans (phans?) can be ruthless when you talk terribly about their team, but why so much Tua hate? Why does Tua take the brunt of criticism when every other quarterback gets a free pass on terrible games?

This win streak Miami is on has Tua hatters scrambling to come up with excuses. Terrible teams ridden with Covid is the primary excuse. But isn’t the job of good teams is to beat the teams you are supposed to beat? The Cardinals lost to the helpless Lions and the Chargers were destroyed by the Texans. Those are two darling teams of the NFL that lost in games they were supposed to win. Anything can happen any Sunday.

Not only has Miami beaten the teams they are supposed to beat, they’ve done it seven weeks in a row with a top-five defense and behind Tua’s arm. Over the previous seven games, Tua has a stat line of 1,156 yards, 8 TD, 4 INT, 62% completion rate, and a QBR of 84.

Is it MVP numbers? Of course not, but the nitpicking of every little detail for Tua goes beyond comprehension. No one else has to deal with as horrible of an offensive line as what Tua has. Miami has no real run game and no reliable receiver outside of rookie Jaylen Waddle. Simms will let this slide for other quarterbacks, but not Tua.

Let us not forget the worst take of the century by any “expert” anyone has heard. This man in real life said Taysom Hill is better than Tua.

Simms is a failed NFL quarterback who couldn’t even call plays correctly in practices. If there is one person I’d listen to when discussing Tua, shouldn’t that person at least know what they are talking about? Better yet a successful NFL quarterback if we go along the “knowing” football route? How about a Hall of Fame quarterback?

The Tua Tagovailoa hate is just getting old at this point. I don’t know what Chris Simms problem is, but just him saying that he hopes Tannehill sticks it to Miami fans says everything I need to know. This is not analytical but personal for whatever reason.
