Trae Young Height Shames Himself

Trae Young is 6-foot-1. Let’s just get that out of the way as the big elephant in the room. Which is plenty tall for just being a real human. The problem is that it’s the NBA and the average height of each player is way higher than 6-foot-1.

The Hawks point guard believes he would be one of the greatest players in NBA history if he were taller.

“If I was 6-(foot)-8, I feel like I would be the best player to ever play this game,” Young said on the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast. “Just because of my mentality and the way I play, the smartness I have on this game.”

The Hawks Should Trade Trae Young

Look, the height thing is what it is. Steph Curry is 6-foot-2 and he doesn’t have any problem being a legend. I would argue there is one glaring problem with Young and it’s his self-awareness. He’s a terrible teammate and everything is about him. Even this response is about him. Pitty party city. Is that really the message you want to be sending when you’re already viewed as a ball hog? If the short guy is feeling sorry for himself, maybe it’s time to take away the rock.

I’ve said it 100 times and I’ll say it again. The Hawks will never win with this guy and the swap with Dallas that included Luka Doncic will go down as one of the worst decisions in NBA history. Highway robbery for Dallas and it’s only going to look worse the more time goes on.
