Tom Brady Won’t Criticize Players; Here’s Why He Should

Tom Brady lost his eye of the tiger. The hungry dog runs faster, and the only thing Brady has proven recently is that he doesn’t have that same edge anymore.

Is he a broadcaster, owner, or just a fraud who lies his way into both roles? It would appear that he’s crushing the ladder.

In a recent interview, Brady was asked about this very topic and had this to say.

“How can I throw shade at someone who is as amazing as he is?” 🤝 Tom Brady spills on Patrick Mahomes, his unique perspective as a broadcaster, and more. #tombrady #patrickmahomes

“You realize it’s not about this harsh critique, and that’s really not what it’s all about anyway,” Brady continued. “To me, it’s more about, let’s point out the greatness of these individual players. Have fun. Enjoy it. Entertain a little bit. And really try to educate people a little bit. But that’s what I want to do on TV. And thought it was a great season because I’ve got a great team at Fox. And we’re going to keep building on the success we had in Year 1.”

I would argue Brady should be low-key ashamed of himself, in the same way that JJ Watt should be.

Brady didn’t become the player he became because someone told him a bunch of lies. He became the GOAT by having competitive stamina and being obsessed with proving people wrong. If the roles were reversed, Brady would want that broadcaster to criticize him to add fuel to the fire. The fact that he’s now going to be a hypocrite about that fact post-retirement tells you everything you need to know.

Brady isn’t interested in doing his job. He’s interested in being Switzerland, and I’d argue his approach is totally shameful. It’s a huge problem we have right now in sports media, and I’m actually embarrassed for him.
