Tom Brady said some things on a recent podcast that are maybe worth paying attention to. We found out he isn’t running personnel with the Raiders (which was kinda obvious with the way they drafted). We also found out that he’s terrified of Ray Lewis…
In fairness to the former Patriots and Bucs quarterback, was anyone not scared of Lewis?
VIA Logan Paul’s “IMPAULSIVE” podcast:
“Ray Lewis was at the top,” Brady said. “Ndamukong Suh, I didn’t like getting hit by him. J.J. [Watt] wasn’t very fun to get hit by. Haloti Ngata, you remember him? He was about 340 pounds for the Ravens. He was massive.”
Fun fact… Nobody has been sacked more times than Tom Brady in NFL history. That’s 646 career sacks taken when you include the regular season and playoffs. Given how many years Brady played and we’re talking consistently deep into the playoffs, we’re not exactly asking someone who is unqualified to answer this question either.
The former Ravens linebacker only sacked Brady one time in his career, so that’s good news. Despite all the sacks taken, Brady says he was able to maintain his longevity anyway because of his offseason training regimen.
“When you’re getting hit, there’s a discipline with your physical body that you need to take into account,” Brady said. “Because if you [expletive] around, you’re gonna get hurt. . . . You don’t mess around with your training, because you will pay the price when you got Aaron Donald chasing you.”
