Sports Media
It turns out that hiring fake AI writers was only the beginning for Sports Illustrated. It turns out the entire publication is on the verge of dying. SI’s publisher, The Arena Group, has announced that they are planning to lay off the ENTIRE STAFF.
That is not a type. The ENTIRE STAFF.
Front Office Sports were the first to report the news. This is a link to their post along with the official press release.
The Arena Group purchased SI for $110 million five years ago. They must be in a world of debt because this move was prompted by a missed $2.8 million payment. To make up some of the money, SI is totally cleaning house.
It’s time for the rest of you to start waking up and realizing what’s happening. The Sports Industry is dying and if people keep producing cookie-cutter nonsense, more and more places will go under. SI clearly fell into the wrong hands. Business people that don’t understand sports. This news today shouldn’t be surprising. Frankly, it was only a matter of time after the AI scandal.
Vendetta Sports Media is the future. I promise I will save this industry. I’m just going to do it my way and you’re going to have to live with it. It is what it is.
We are more than our thoughts. Our thoughts could be correct. Our thoughts could be incorrect. My thoughts are valid because I am smart.
