Terry Bradshaw: Aaron Rodgers Joining The Steelers ‘That’s A Joke’

The Pittsburgh Steelers are stuck in the perpetual motion of being a good but not great or bad team. This year’s roster and quarterback conundrum seems to be leading to another year of mediocrity. The Aaron Rodgers saga has plagued the Steelers’ offseason and led a former Steelers Icon to speak out. Terry Bradshaw, the legendary Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, has made his stance clear regarding the potential acquisition of Aaron Rodgers.

In a recent appearance on 103.7 The Buzz’s Morning Mayhem show, Bradshaw dismissed the idea of bringing Rodgers to Pittsburgh as a “joke,”. Bradshaw was not a fan of the idea that Rodgers would be a one year rental which Pittsburgh just did with QB’s Russell Wilson and Justin Fields.

“That is to me just a joke. What are you going to do? Bring him in for one year? Are you kidding me?” – Terry Bradshaw

“That guy needs to stay in California… Go somewhere and chew on bark. Whisper to the gods out there.” – Terry Bradshaw

It appears Bradshaw is not huge on Rodgers the person and does not see him as a fit for Steelers culture.

Bradshaw’s comments add to the growing debate about Rodgers’ future in the NFL. While the Steelers have yet to finalize any deal, the clock is ticking as training camp approaches. It seems likely that Rodgers will either be a Steeler this year or simply be retired.

Pittsburgh didn’t address the quarterback position during the offseason as multiple free agents got signed. Now, they are left with a scenario where Mason Rudolph is back under center as the best quarterback on the roster. Ultimately, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback situation is still uncertain. Now, all eyes remain on Rodgers and whether he will join Pittsburgh or explore other options such as retirement.
