Super Donald World 2024 Review

Super Donald World 2024 might be one of the strangest games I’ve played in a while. SDW, as per its description on Steam, is a 2.5D platformer that has you take control of the 45th President of the United States and run your way to building the border wall. Overall, it’s a simple premise for a simple game.

There is honestly nothing graphically or gameplaywise that makes SDW really stand out. The real draw of SDW is the fact you’re playing as Donald Trump running and jumping over rocks, collecting Trump Bucks, eating ice cream, and drinking Chad juice. Some Trump quotes are thrown in there, and while it was comical at first, the same few lines are recycled over and over again. Trump said some outlandish things during his presidency, so I’m sure there are many more lines that could be added.

Run, Die, Repeat

The repetitiveness of the lines just shows the greatest flaw of SDW. Not much changes a few minutes into a run; the same jumps occur pretty regularly. The map is procedurally generated, and the simple repetitiveness of each run shows no creator influence in what comes next. In one of my runs, I had at least a minute of running where no Trump Bucks showed up to increase my high score or healing items to replace one of my three lost health.

Super Donald World 2024 is about as basic of a game as it can be. It appeals to a super niche market and feels like a game people would buy as a joke. This could be what the developer was going for to try and cash in a few bucks here and there. I don’t ever really see myself going back to this game. It is the exact same game regardless of if you spend 10 minutes or an hour in.
