Stardom May Be A Part Of The AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door PPV-Reports

Forbidden Door is a collaborative pay-per-view between AEW and NJPW. AEW is one of the most popular wrestling companies in the United States. Also, NJPW is one of the leading wrestling companies in Japan. Furthermore, Forbidden Door is one of the most successful collaborative pay-per-views in the history of professional wrestling.

It’s a rare occurrence to have two wrestling companies that are at the level of AEW and NJPW come together for a show. Forbidden Door takes place on June 25th of this year in Canada. But AEW and NJPW may be trying to get Stardom involved in the show as well.

Stardom x AEW x NJPW

Stardom is one of the most popular professional wrestling companies in Japan. They’re an all-female company and are regarded in a very high manner.

NJPW’s parent company, Bushiroad, acquired Stardom in 2019. So this makes the two companies sort of like brother and sister. The two companies are run separately but have worked together in the past. And it looks like they may be working together and with AEW.

Per Fightful Select, Stardom reportedly may be involved in this year’s Forbidden Door event. Stardom and AEW have reportedly had conversations about getting details straightened out. However, they are reportedly some hurdles in order to make this happen.

The biggest challenge is that Stardom is holding an event that same weekend. So there is an issue with wrestlers being available. However, there reportedly have been some more discussions on how to make the event work for both sides.

One person being named is Toni Storm. Reportedly, Toni Storm is a name being thrown around for a Stardom wrestler to face.

Furthermore, the collaboration is something that AEW is reportedly really trying to make happen. However, the same efforts were made with last year’s show, but Stardom wasn’t involved in that event.
