The Sportsnet Grill in downtown Toronto is definitely a home run.
Sportsnet Grill, located at 1 Blue Jays Way, Toronto, is a part of the Toronto Marriott City Centre Hotel which is attached to the Rogers Centre.
The Rogers Centre is Toronto’s largest concert venue and most importantly it is home to the Toronto Blue Jays, an MLB team. What’s best about combining these buildings makes up the charm of the restaurant: The baseball games can be watched from most of the seats while dining! This made for an amazing and entertaining meal as not only do you get to enjoy good food, but you also get to watch the game from your table.
The entertainment of the Sportsnet Grill is incredible, but the excitement doesn’t stop there. The menu is comprised of many baseball references to make the experience even more active!
I ordered the Cloud 9 Cocktail, the Slugger, a 2-foot-long hot dog and finished off with a sweet treat called the Triple Play Sundae. The cocktail arrived topped with cotton candy which the waiter melted with bubbling champagne poured on top. This bright blue drink was definitely a show for the table!
It was sweet and strong, just how you want it. The hot dog was just as great, and definitely a show as well. It’s served on a 2-foot-long plate. It was great a presentation! There was cheese, jam, bacon, spicy mayo, green onions, and of course, a meaty 2-foot-long wiener wedged perfectly between all of it.
Each bite captured a different element of flavor coming from each of the unique ingredients. This hot dog was perfectly shareable for the whole table and was another entertainment to go with the whole event. I would definitely order again!
To finish it off on a sweet note, I ordered the Triple Play Sundae. This also fits the baseball theme and came in a cute blue baseball cap. The dessert comprised of three large scoops of ice cream topped with chocolate and strawberry syrup drizzle, Smarties, Oreos and Kit Kats. This was another perfect shareable order for kids who love sweet treats.
Head to the Sportsnet Grill at the Toronto Marriott City Centre next time you want to pair a Blue Jays game with delicious food!
