Skip Bayless is no foreigner to ridiculous statements, but the TV personal has now just released one of the most blasphemous statements of mankind on his Twitter.
Skip Bayless has taken an army of hate over the years for his outlandish takes, but on Tuesday, Bayless pulled this: “Is Deion’s Colorado now Black America’s team?”
Is Deion’s Colorado now Black America’s Team? Now on @undisputed
— Skip Bayless (@RealSkipBayless) September 26, 2023
I’m not sure if Bayless is trying to get his Twitter money up or not. This is a wild question to ask. Maybe this is another reason why no one wants to work with Bayless.
To answer Bayless’ question, Deion Sanders‘ Colorado Buffaloes have been on top of the college football world. Racking in 9.3 million viewers across only one game–against Colorado State. After playing their rival, the hype train continued to chug along. Colorado was blown out against No. 9 ranked Oregon in a hyped-up match; while they failed on the scoreboard, they triumphed in popularity.
Before Sanders took his talents to Boulder, Colo., he became one of the most prominent coaches in the HBCU (Historically black college or university) circuit. Coaching for Jackson State. Sanders changed the way people not only look at Jackson State, but at HBCUs as a whole. He donated half his salary to the Jackson State team, leading to renovations and additions to their program.
In 2022, Sanders blasted Jackson State’s attendance record with an average viewership of just over 44,000–breaking its own FCS record.
Now with Deion Sanders in Colorado, did his Jackson State fans truly follow him to Colorado? Is that why Bayless asked this question on Twitter? Let us know in the comments below.
