UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley is more than willing to share the intricate details of his relationship. ‘Suga’ has openly explained why he and his wife, Danya Gonzalez, have an open relationship.
Sean O’Malley explained why he is allowed to sleep with other women on Bradley Martin’s “Raw Talk” podcast. All quotes via the New York Post.
“I’m a king, I pay for everything,” O’Malley said while a guest on Bradley Martyn’s “Raw Talk” podcast. “I treat Danya like a queen. If I get a little p–s on the side, what does that have to do with anything? I have testosterone running through my veins; it’s simple.”
O’Malley has spoken openly about his open relationship throughout his career. This was not a sudden change when O’Malley became rich and famous, rather, it has been a consistent part of their relationship.
O’Malley admitted that his open relationship is one-sided and his wife is not allowed to sleep with other men. The UFC bantamweight champion and newly-minded superstar attributed that to his status in life.
“If I wasn’t paying for everything, if I wasn’t, you know, successful in any sort of way, and I was just like maybe an average Joe, I probably wouldn’t. It probably wouldn’t be fair. But I’m f–king King Kong baby,” O’Malley said.
While O’Malley does not have a standard monogamous relationship, it seems to be working for both him and Gonzalez. The pair have a daughter, Elena, together and O’Malley has credited Gonzalez for helping him stay disciplined.
O’Malley has chalked up his female adventures as the one aspect of his life where he lets loose. Otherwise, he avoids the temptations that come with fame and money.
“I’m a crazy mother f–ker.” O’Malley said. “I put myself on a leash. I have to live a very disciplined lifestyle. I could, for sure, go out, do some bumps, and go off the rails easily. If I didn’t have discipline … oh dude, I would be crazy. I would be Conor [McGregor] for sure. I would be hitting booger sugar on my yacht and blow all my money.
“But I live a very disciplined life, and if I want to get a little bit of p–sy sometimes, what the f–k. It makes me a better man.”
Does O’Malley deserve to live the bachelor lifestyle while married or should he shut it down for his partner? Don’t be afraid to leave your thoughts in the comments.
