Some people just get owned by other people. This happens a lot in sports. There may be no better definition than what Russell Wilson is doing to the Minnesota Vikings. Russell Wilson owns the Vikings. They are his own personal butler. As long as Wilson is under center, I’m convinced the Vikings will never beat him. Wilson is now 6-0 with an 11-3 TD-INT Ratio. The Vikings just can’t beat him.
2 of the loses were with Kirk Cousins. He’s 0-8 on Monday Night Football so those are gimme wins. The Vikings have had their shot to beat him. Remember the Blair Walsh chip shot shank in the playoff game? At this point, Wilson has planted his flag and claimed the Vikings as his own. Even when Minnesota should beat him, they don’t.
Wilson is on some incredible run this season. He just isn’t losing at all. All of the close ones are his. Seattle is 6-0 in games decided by one possession. Seattle also has an average margin of victory of 5 points. If the game is close, Russ makes sure his team wins. It has just been one of those years. In a tough NFC, Wilson always gives his team a chance and Seattle might be Super Bowl bound.
Even when Seattle was trailing Monday Night, you just felt like they were going to win. Once Dalvin Cook fumbled and left the game, it was over. See ya! Maybe we will see you in the playoffs again and kick your ass one more time. Some people just have your number. When it comes to the Minnesota Vikings, Russell Wilson just owns them. Crazy given how talented some of the rosters have been in Minnesota. They have all sorts of gems on that roster. Wilson wins anyway.
