Hi, Trey here. Look, I’m going to do as many of these 2025 NFL Draft profiles as I can leading up to the big day. I’m going to keep chipping away at these dinky ones and hit the heavy hitters the closer we get to April. Sticking with that theme, let’s talk about Alabama tight end Robbie Ouzts.
Ouzts, 6-foot-3, 274, was pretty terrible at the Combine. Incredibly slow, looks like an out-of-shape gym teacher, and really can’t do anything beyond block a little. For a prototypical Alabama tight end, Ouzts doesn’t come close to resembling that.
Frankly, I’m not sure how he was even invited to the Combine. There were several at the position who had far more production and I would have loved to see them at the event instead.
The former Crimson Tide product was a three star prospect coming out of the state of South Carolina during the 2021 cycle. He’s essentially a gritty role player. Tight end, H-Back, fullback, all that cheese.
There’s also next to nothing to evaluate here. Didn’t mention him during the stock reports. Mostly because we’re talking about a guy who had eight receptions for 108 receiving yards and two scores. The prior three years of his career, Ouzts had eight receptions combined. Again, I’d go in more detail but there’s really nothing to even discuss.
There is absolutely nothing and I mean nothing here. Shouldn’t be picked. Shouldn’t be on a preseason roster either. Rewatch the Combine and you see more than enough to back that claim up. The mustache actually fits him well because he has a far better chance of being one of those weird male strippers than he does at being a productive NFL player with real receiving totals.
