One more. This is the final 2025 NFL Draft profile we’re doing. If you want more, donate to the Vendetta Sports Media foundation. Signing off one more time for this year, here is your profile on UNLV wide receiver Ricky White III!
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 9, Week 14, Conference Championships, East-West (1), (2), (4)
White, 23, was a three star recruit coming out of the state of Georgia. The Marietta native was the 98th overall receiver and 56th overall player in the state during his class. The redshirt senior spent two years at Michigan State prior to finishing up the final three years at UNLV.
White has been the number one receiver at UNLV for the last three years. In 2022, he led the team with 51 receptions, 619 receiving yards, and 4 TDs. He followed that up the next year with a First-team All-Mountain West Conference selection in a season that included a school-record 1,483 receiving yards on 88 receptions with eight touchdowns. This past year concluded with another First-team All-Mountain West Conference notching 79 receptions, 1,041 receiving yards, and 11 scores.
Oh, by the way, and all of this is included in the stock notes above, but White blocked four punts, which led all of FBS. This guy provides immense value on special teams and did it while being the number one target on the team. I would say I wasn’t blown away watching him, but definitely impressed and had all the this guy can play vibes.
White was a big time standout during the East-West game. We’re still working through getting that stuff edited, but be on the lookout for that. Of course, those details notes can be found at the top as well.
The Combine revealed a lot here. Definitely not a burner, but can really work the short area quickness game. Checks in at 6-foot-1, 184, and needs to get stronger. Not overly fast straight line, either posting a 4.61. He definitely can bend his knees, though, and has a chance to be a plus route runner and win in the intermediate game. Not overly big and needs to add strength, but he’s not just some dinky slot guy. There’s versatility in his game here.
Have no problem turning the card in during the 7th round like Seattle did. Plus special teams value and someone who can catch and make the simple play.
