The New York Giants are 2-9 disaster to start out the 2024-25 NFL Season. To make matters worse, Joe Schoen appears to have botched everything he’s touched as Xavier McKinney, Saquon Barkley, and Leonard Williams have thrived since leaving the team. Rex Ryan went on a must see rant proclaiming that the Giants need to fire Schoen ASAP.
“The Giants played well,” Ryan said. “Saquon Barkley went for 302 scrimmage yards, 255 rushing. Xavier McKinney leads the league, had his seventh interception (for the Packers). Leonard Williams has 2 1/2 sacks for Seattle. So, the Giants are playing great.
“But the little Giants, The Little Giants, stink. Xavier McKinney, they could have used a player like that. The Giants haven’t had an interception for 10 weeks now. Is that even possible?”
“I feel bad for Brian Daboll. He is a good football coach,” Ryan said. “This GM right now, that’s the one. I would just say gone, get the hell out of our building.”
Spot the lie. You can’t. I’m not going to sit here and act like what Rex Ryan says is gospel but a blind bat already knows that Joe Schoen has created a mess in New York. This is very much a design problem, not a coaching problem.
