Cheers to the Brock star. You will be missed and never forgotten. Brock Holt recently announced his retirement from MLB. The Brock star might be gone but never forgotten. We here at Vendetta have your back, Holt.
What many people don’t realize is that Holt was actually a player to be named later in a trade. I for sure don’t have a list off the top of my head but when I think of the best player to be named later success story, it starts and ends with Holt. It’s one of the best things that ever happened to Boston.
Holt became the best player in a trade that was supposed to land the Sox their next star closer. The Joel Hanrahan trade is forever a win for the Red Sox and it has nothing to do with Hanrahan at all.
How could we forget all of the things Holt accomplished during his time in Boston? When Holt was on, he was the best utility man in the entire sport. Even made an All-Star appearance in 2015. In the end, nothing mattered more than what Holt gave the 2018 championship Red Sox.
The best Brock Holt moment of all-time is easily Game 3 of the ALDS when he hit for the cycle in an eventual route win in Yankee Stadium.
Forever a legend. One of the unsung heroes in Red Sox history. Thank you Ben Cherington for making this trade. Kinda odd he is in Pittsburgh right now isn’t it given the history of this trade?
