Report: LSU WR Kyren Lacy Wanted On Negligent Homicide, Hit-And-Run Charges

LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy is reportedly wanted on negligent homicide and hit-and-run charges in regard to a car accident on December 17th that tragically took the life of a former Marine and injured two others. This is according to Louisiana State Police via Baton Rouge television station WAFB. Investigators believe Lacy fled the scene of the 10 a.m. accident after causing the accident and failed to report his involvement to the police.

Kyren Lacy is also wanted on a charge of reckless driving for the incident, per court records. WAFB’s Ethan Tuttle reports that Louisiana State Police are currently “in communication with Lacy and his legal representation to turn himself in”. The police report states that Lacy was driving a 2023 Dodge Charger on Louisiana Highway 20 and “recklessly passed multiple vehicles at a high rate of speed by crossing the centerline and entering the northbound lane while in a designated No-Passing Zone.” A northbound driver slammed his brakes to avoid a head-on collision, forcing another driver behind the pickup to swerve, crossing the center line and hitting another vehicle head-on.

This is a very bad look for Kyren Lacy, who man believed was in the range of a day-two pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Lacy finished his senior season with 58 receptions for 866 yards and a team-leading nine touchdowns.
